Jake will happily contribute at any stage in a project, whether it’s the first creative scribbles or the final pass before delivery. He’s an accomplished orchestrator, arranger, performer and recording engineer with over 15 years of experience in the studio and on stage.
Composition
From the silver screen to the concert hall, Jake offers bespoke composition services for all sorts of uses. He is comfortable with any size ensemble, from soloists to full symphony orchestra.
Jake has a longstanding relationship with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra who have recorded many of his orchestral works. You can find some of them here.
As well as writing original music, Jake is an experienced arranger and regularly contributes written parts to recording sessions, performances and bands.
Production
As an avid record collector and audiophile, Jake regularly works with artists and composers to help realise their artistic vision, taking control of the technical and logistical aspects of making records so the talent can focus on what they do best: being creative.
His hybrid studio in Somerset is available for hire. With analogue kit from Neve, SSL, Chandler, ATC, Neumann and many other established classics, he regularly collaborates with songwriters and bands. He offers a personalised service for anyone hoping to record their next project.
He is also available for remote mixing and will contribute creatively to any project. He plays keys, guitar and double bass on most of the records he has produced.
Consultation
After years of experience in the music, touring and theatre industries, Jake has learned that the biggest problem is often answering the simple question: “What do I need?”.
Whether it’s advancing festival shows; designing systems for multimedia installations; or working out how to synchronise an orchestra with a firework display, Jake will be able to help solve the technical and creative problems you may have.
